Wildfire Webinar & Resources

Across Canada, wildfires continue to burn. Rising global temperatures and decreased precipitation are contributing to extreme weather events that are becoming more frequent, more severe, and increasingly more difficult to manage. These conditions are also leading to more extreme droughts, creating drier forests that are more susceptible to wildfires.

In the last few years alone, we have witnessed record-breaking forest fires that have hit communities across our country as well as regions around the globe. While we are developing a better understanding of the environmental consequences wildfires have on our health, our communities and our economies, there is still much more for us to learn.

Thank you to our speakers (below) and everyone who attended our recent webinar, Canada is Burning: What you need to know. Click here to watch the video in English. Cliquez ici pour accéder à la vidéo avec interprétation en français.
