Landowner Guide
Property owners and managers who have participated in our large-scale tree planting programs can attest that ensuring the health and resiliency of their forests is a year-round commitment.
Over the past several years, we have collected questions and topics of interest about how best to transition from newly planted trees to healthy, resilient, forested landscapes. In a recent survey, we also specifically heard from the farming community that they wanted more information on each stage of managing their growing forests.
“We heard from folks who were looking for more information on how to best care for their trees and grow a healthy, resilient forest,” Val Deziel, Director of Restoration Programs, says. “Thankfully, we were able to turn to our talented Restoration team and Forestry Specialists as well as leading Registered Forestry Professionals help create a free Landowner Guide that we are very proud of and would be of great help.”
Our new Landowner Guide is now available to help property owners and managers at each stage of tree development by highlighting key areas, including the benefits of trees and reasons to plant, an overview of planting methods and maintenance recommendations, tips about invasive species and sustainable forest management, and so much more.
