A fun memory style game to improve knowledge of key characteristics of 30 tree species.
Students will learn about the theoretical and practical application of forest bathing (or Shinrin-yoku) as a mindfulness and therapeutic practice.
Students will learn about orienteering using a map and compass, and why it is still a valuable skill in today’s digital world.
To give students the opportunity to identify the parts of a tree and demonstrate how they fit together.
Students will explore their own sense of community and demonstrate an awareness that animals and plants depend on their environment to meet their basic needs. This is an indoor/outdoor activity.
Interactions of plants, animals and fungi in a forest ecosystem will be explored. This is an indoor activity.
