National Forest Week 2023

Posted: 2023.09.15

We are fighting a battle against a changing climate and biodiversity loss, and we can’t fight alone.

Today’s youth will be our future forest stewards and it’s more crucial than ever that they develop an appreciation for our forests and a desire to conserve and restore them. Together, we can plant the seeds of knowledge and provide youth with the crucial first steps on a journey of caring for our forests, so they will thrive for generations to come.

Forests Ontario and our network of partners are dedicated to ensuring that our youth have access to environmental education activities and resources both inside and outside of the classroom. Our forest education programs provide resources for teachers and students of all ages, including in-class immersive forestry presentations, educational workshops and events, and outdoor classroom experiences amongst nature. Educational  programs are also tailored for students of all ages, from elementary school through high school, as well as post-secondary and beyond.

Through our diverse program offerings, we are fostering a love for our forests early on. Together, we can grow tomorrow’s green leaders and future stewards of our forests.
