Green Business Spotlight – Environmental 360 Solutions Ltd.

Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S) has been recycling batteries, as well as other hazardous and hard-to-manage waste materials, since 1985. They believe in upcycling waste in ways that maximize the reusability of the materials they were originally made from. This belief supports the organization's goals of protecting the environment and preserving the earth’s natural resources.

As a way for their company to practice what they preach and work toward offsetting their carbon footprint, E360S has been a supporter of Forests Ontario since 2015. “Forestry is an important part of Canada’s economy, and it’s absolutely critical that organizations like Forests Ontario are out there educating people about its benefits and the ways that we can protect it, to ensure that our forests are around for future generations,” Sarah Lacharity of E360S says.

Sarah is also very aware of the benefits of our forests in the fight against climate change.

“Our forests are like sponges that absorb harmful CO2 emissions that are causing our earth to warm,” she notes. “They provide shade, especially in urban areas, helping to cool the earth. Their roots also help mitigate soil erosion.”

When it comes to E360S’ support of Forests Ontario, Sarah says it was an easy decision and appreciates the importance of organizations that advocate for the environment and biodiversity.

“You can never go wrong with supporting an organization that is dedicated to planting trees across our beautiful province,” Sarah says.
