We are excited to welcome Sharon, the new Office Administrator, to our Forests Ontario team!
Born and raised in the small town of Erin, Ontario, Sharon Cranstone comes to us with a wide scope of educational and professional experience. She grew up in an entrepreneurial environment: her father, sister, and husband owned small businesses.
When Sharon was young, her father involved her in business administration. As she grew older, she chose to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology and family studies from the University of Guelph. However, after completing her degree, she found her true calling to be interior design, and completed a diploma program at Fanshawe College. Sharon then worked in commercial store design and eventually used her talents to flip houses with her husband. Years later, she went to CDI College and received a diploma in Business Administration and Management.
You may wonder how a past interior designer became Forests Ontario’s new Office Administrator. After reading the job criteria and learning about our programs, Sharon realized that this was the perfect opportunity to give back to the environment and be a part of a larger mission. Sharon and her family have always appreciated the environment and love to have fun in the great outdoors. They often spend time hiking, boating, skiing, snowmobiling, and gardening.
In her new role, Sharon will juggle customer service inquiries, office administration, reception duties, all while ensuring that Forests Ontario runs smoothly. Sharon is excited to have new experiences, meet new people, and work with such a happy and positive team.
